Spilling the Beans :)

Matt and I went for our ultrasound on Thursday, May 20. Everything looked really good in there - our little *BOY* measured in the 73rd percentile for his size, and they estimate he'll be about 7-8 lbs when he's born. We guessed Baby C would weigh in around there anyways, as Matt was 7 lbs. 5 oz. and I was 7 lbs. 14 oz. All of his organs looked good, as well as fingers, toes, etc.

We didn't tell anyone right away when we found out the gender because we wanted to wait and tell our families together first in person. So that Saturday my family drove up and we all went out to dinner together at Copper River. (me, Matt, Matt's dad, Laura, Malcolm, my mom, Kamen, Jarrett & Caroline) I had gone to Hobby Lobby ahead of time and purchased some blue "It's a boy!" ribbon, which I wove through two wide-weave baskets, then lined them with blue fabric. Matt and I arrived at the restaurant early to give the baskets to our server and pre-order some appetizers. We told our families that they'd have to wait until dessert to find out what it was, so they were really surprised when our appetizers came out in those baskets.  :)  It was a fun way to tell everyone.

The weekend after telling our families, Matt and I drove down to Hilton Head for Jarrett & Caroline's engagement party. It was a really fun and relaxing afternoon in Caroline's backyard on the water. The food was great and I think everyone enjoyed themselves. I got a bit of a sunburn on my shoulders, but not too bad.

Other than that, nothin' new!
